Abel Moreira Mateus
“I have over 30 years of experience in microeconomics and competition economics, both in application and teaching. As president of the competition authority, I created an institution that immediately received world-wide recognition, and also led case work in anti-competitive practices and mergers and acquisitions. Some of these cases had a fundemental impact on the Portuguese economy, namely in the telecom, banking, and energy sectors. My world-wide experience in advising competition authorities and consulting for lawfirms gives me the credentials to help clients in building a more competitive economy.”
