Industrial organisation theorist with a substantive body of work on mergers, oligopoly behaviour, and post-merger integration.

Professor of Economics at NOVA — Department of Science and Technology. Holds an Aggregate Title in Industrial Economics from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2015) and a Doctorate in Microeconomics from the same institution (2007), with a focus on industrial organisation.

Author of one book and over 25 journal articles in leading economics publications. Research interests are in competition economics and industrial organisation. Former Supervisor at CEFAGE — Centro de Estudos e Formação Avançada em Gestão e Economia (2014–2016).
